Short logs (pre-cuts) - Cut to Lengths 12'6" - 14'6" - 16'6" - 33'6".
All logs on tree length loads must have a minimum length of 33' 6" - Short logs (pre-cuts) may not be mixed in with tree length logs.
Knots must be trimmed flush with the bole of the tree. Hit and miss trimming will not be allowed. No knots larger than 3" will be accepted and no more than 3 knots per 16' will be accepted.
Square cut ends on logs - No broke tops.
No forks allowed - Cut off one fork, leave other fork attached to the bole of tree.
Corks, corkscrews, dog legs will not be allowed.
No logs with wire or metal are acceptable.
No logs with large knots.
Place initials on butt of logs. (1/3 of logs on load)
NO TOPS OR PULPWOOD IS ACCEPTABLE - NONE.
Tree length butt size is 10" but no larger than 30" - Tops must be 6" or larger.
No gross weight over 85,000 lbs. will be paid.
Fresh wood only - No blue logs.
No Jogs with Red Heart or Dry Rot will be accepted.
If the scale operator determines he needs to spread a load of logs to inspect interior logs to determine load valve, the driver will be given the option of leaving with the load of logs or taking the deductions from the spread. The logs will not be loaded back on the truck.
Any loads with numerous logs not meeting log specifications will be rejected.
A DEDUCTION OF 1000 LBS. FOR EACH LOG THAT DOES NOT MEET SPECS, WILL BE TAKEN FROM TOTAL LOAD TONNAGE. i.e., 2 DEDUCTIONS WILL BE 2000 LBS. OR 1 TON LOSS ON LOAD. These log specifications will be followed & deductions will be made if logs don't meet specs. Snider Industries, L.L.P., will not be responsible for damages to trucks or trailers due to lack of clearance needed by the LeToruneau to unload logs. Logs should not be unchained until the LeToruneau is there to hold the logs. Drivers should be clear of all machines while unloading the load of logs.
