Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

Position Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced I&E Technician to support the operation of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of electrical and instrumentation systems—everything from MCCs and PLCs to Optimizer Computers and laser scanners. You’ll help keep things running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and inspection of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
•    Diagnose and repair issues with PLCs, HMIs, Optimizer systems, sensors, control valves, and motor control centers.
•    Maintain production computers, UPS systems, and scanner calibrations.
•    Follow safety protocols at all times and maintain equipment in a safe working condition.
•    Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation.
•    Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
•    Manage parts inventory and ensure tools are available when needed.
•    Respond to emergency issues and work occasional overtime or on-call as needed.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:
Required:
•    5+ years of experience in an I&E Technician or similar role in an industrial environment.
•    Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.
•    Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
•    Willingness to work in varied environmental conditions and respond to after-hours emergencies.

Preferred:
•    Associate degree or technical certification in electrical or instrumentation technology.
•    Experience with sawmill or process control systems is a plus.
