Log Specifications |

· No 14’6” short logs accepted at this time! · Short logs - Cut to lengths 12'6 - 16'6 - 33'6. NO SHORT LOGS CUT 10-18-20-22, ETC. · All logs on tree length loads must have a minimum length of 33'6". Short logs - cut to lengths 12'6" - 14'6" - 16'6" may not be mixed in with tree length loads. · Knots trimmed flush with the bole of the tree. Hit & miss trimming will not be allowed. · Square cut ends on logs - No Broken tops. · No forks allowed-cut off one fork, leave other fork attached to bole of tree. · Excessive crook, cork screws, or dog legs will not be allowed. Cut into short lengths. · No logs with wire or metal is acceptable. · No large logs with large knots. (Big Knots) · Place initials on butt of logs. (1/3 of logs on load) · NO TOPS OR PULPWOOD IS ACCEPTABLE-NONE. · BUTT SIZE is 10" but no more than 30" · Tops must be 6" & larger, well trimmed straight, logs with 6" tops. · A deduction of 1000# for each log that does not meet specs, will be taken from total log tonnage. i.e., 2 deducts will be 2000# or 1 ton loss on load. · No gross weight over 85,000 lbs. will be paid. · Fresh Wood Only - No Blue Logs. · Any load with numerous logs not meeting log specifications will be considered pulpwood and will be payed pulpwood rate on total tonnage of load after deductions.
THIS IS A SAWMILL - NOT A CHIP MILL. DO NOT HAUL LOGS TO THIS MILL THAT CANNOT BE MADE INTO LUMBER. HAUL YOUR PULPWOOD TO THE PULPWOOD MILLS.

Snider Industries, Inc., will not be responsible for damages to trucks or trailers due to lack of clearance needed by Leterneau to unload logs. Logs should not be unchained until the Leterneau stacker is there to hold the logs. Drivers should be clear of all machines while unloading the load of logs. |
These log specs will be followed & deducts will be made if logs don’t meet specs. |
